“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.” – Margaret Mead

Real change is made when people come together for a shared cause.

When I was 20 months old I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. I have had to deal with this disease for pretty much my whole life and so have my parents. Type 1 diabetes has always felt normal to me, I have never really lived any other way. Having this disease for as long as I have has come with many ups and downs. Sometimes my blood sugar gets so low I can’t wake up in the morning, and sometimes my blood sugar is so high I can’t see anything on the board in the back of class. But I have a very caring family and wonderful friends that have helped me so much throughout the years and I can’t thank them enough.

We support JDRF because they are the largest global organization working on a cure for type 1 diabetes.  You can help support meaningful research that improves how I treat my diabetes every day through advances in technology, better, faster-acting insulins and most importantly, a cure.  But NONE of this research and development is possible without donations.  Please join me today in supporting JDRF.

Thank you,
